This time, change is GOOD!

After living in our home for almost 10 years, we finally get to fulfill our dream of making it bigger so hopefully it can be our lifelong home. So exciting! We have spent years looking at all of our options as far as adding on versus moving (see older post below) and we have no doubt we want to stay. Our neighborhood is in a central location which we love, we have amazing neighbors, a yard to grow into and the kids are enrolled in the Spanish Dual Immersion program which we want to commit to. Not to mention we have spent hours and mucho moolah making this house one we love to pieces. We love older homes with character and uniqueness.

My dear friend, Becca, suggested we make a blog. She thinks I should so I can share my crazy ability to find good deals and creatively save money. Honestly I exhaust myself trying to do it so I don't know if I have the energy to then write about what I did but we'll see. I liked the idea of a blog anyhow. That way our friends and fam (who aren't bored to tears with the process) can check it out as we go. Most of them don't live here so this should be fun. We will skip the complicated and tedious details about getting funding and city approval and go right for the good stuff. Just know these things: never talk to just one person or source when it comes to gathering info, Murray City's building department is sub par at best but we're getting through it and the most important thing... We have been blessed in countless ways as we have worked our little tails off to get to this point.
